He moved with a purpose, befitting a young leader. His heavy pawsteps echoed throughout the section of warehouses as the moon reflected off of his pale fur. Tilting his head back, he howled to the moon and eased down into a sitting position. Hopefully, they would come soon. He had much he needed to discuss with his pack mates. He'd just obtained this pack from his father, after the old wolf had passed on. There wasn't any denying what he was capable of. Lean muscle rippled under his skin and the fire of youth burned brightly in his dark eyes.
He swished his tail along the ground and settled down for the long haul. He would wait all night if necessary but he doubted it would come to that. His pack mates were loyal and swift. They would come without being told twice. He was fairly certain the wind had carried his call but on the off-chance it did not, he howled once more. Sighing quietly, he scanned the area that was his home and blinked his brown eyes. Prior to somehow managing to free themselves, they'd been in the city's zoo. It hadn't been pleasant from what little he could recall.
All he really remembered was his mother carrying him out and his young siblings stumbling out after her. His father, ever brave, had lead the way to freedom, to this place that had become the pack's home. Shortly after the passing of his father, the young wolf had started accepting more than just wolves into the pack. If they were going to succeed, they needed diversity, which meant they also needed different skill sets. He was fairly certain that, at least, one or two of the dogs he'd taken in had been police dogs in a past life, which was good news for Deuce and his pack. It meant they understood the pack's ideologies and could easily follow orders, even if they didn't happen to like those orders.

Hermes lifted his head as soon as he heard the howl. He didn't start running automatically on account he wasn't quite sure it was his alpha' s cry, but when he heard the second one he started running. His paws falling heavy on the ground as he made his way to the warehouse. As he ran, the moonlight on his fur seemed to make him glow as he jumped over and dodged things in order to get to his alpha.
Once he arrived at the warehouse, he padded in softly and quietly. Hermes only stopped to sniff the air to locate his alpha. Once he found Deuce's scent, he followed it to where it was emanating from. Quietly, he laid down on the alpha's left since he was his Delta.

Ash ll 4 year old ll Decus ll German Shepherd
The German Shepherd really hadn't been doing much when the first howl sounded into the air. In all honesty, he had just been admiring the moon. He had always enjoyed it when it was full, but all in all it fascinated him. Rising to his paws, he began pacing toward the direction of where the pack made it's home - the warehouse. His head was held high, ears perked. He wasn't too far, but far enough to know that if he were to be running, he would get there exhausted. So, he was moving at a steady trot-like pace. In the moonlight, his pale coat was bright and the black stood out greatly. Every time he saw the moon, he couldn't help but think of the two things he loved - his old master and Hadley. Both of them in which he had spent amazing times under this moon. Hadley, he had met her at the park, under the full moon and they shared the night together. Ever since then, they kept going back to each other and spending more and more time together. His master on the other hand, long passing, the memories were more vague, but just as special.
As his paws hit the warehouse floor, he followed Deuces scent on the air. He could only smell the Alpha and the Delta so far, he must not be too late or even late at all. A second howl had rung through the air a little bit ago, and it had caused the Shepherd to pick up his pace just a bit. Yet he had still beat most of the pack. His ears flicked lightly before he followed the scent and found Deuce and Hermes at his side. When approaching the Alpha, Ash dipped his head out of respect and instinct, it was just the natural thing to do. "Greetings, Deuce." He barked lightly to the wolf before pacing and sitting close to him to be recognized as the second in command, but far enough to still be at a respectful distance. His ears were perked and twitching slightly as he awaited the rest of the pack to show up.

and in the end, hand in hand, we will get there Saffron still felt as though she were being disloyal.
Upon hearing the Alpha's commanding howl to assemble, the lithe coyote had quickly gulped down the berries she had been intending to slowly savour, before pushing herself stiffly to her paws and limping forward to the central warehouse where they had apparently made their base.
She winced a little at every step, as her weight was put upon her stiff hind leg. Moons had passed since 'The Battle' (as she thought of it), and yet, it hadn't fully healed.
Maybe it never would.
As soon as that thought entered her mind, Saffron banished it, unwilling to get her spirits down. A second cry split the air, and the coyote trotted faster, ducking and waving her way through the undergrowth with the nimbleness of her kind, never mind her bust leg.
At the very threshold of the warehouse, Saffron paused, ears flicking uncertainly. From within, three scents leaked out - all males, she noted her to disgust. Surely that pack had to have some females to balance out all the testosterone. She snorted at that imagery, before quietly poking her head in, round the door, her tinier frame following suit, nose twitching as she entered.
Saffron hadn't had much interaction with her packmates, since after she had officially joined. Oh, it was her fault, she knew, deliberately keeping herself away from the masses, afraid to- Well. She did do her duties, so that was all that mattered. Bundles of herbs and little fruits and berries, along with a small bird or two had found their way into the pack quarters, mysteriously appearing in the night.
She wasn't sure if anyone knew it was her, but she wasn't about to announce it.
As the lean canine walked in slowly, she lowered her head further, the nearer she got to the Trio - the three powers, she thought to herself humourously. Alpha, Beta and Delta, from what she could see. She dipped her head in a proper show of respect, before starting to slink away to a dark corner to rest her aching leg, careful to keep her blind eye turned away from them, in self-consciousness.
But again - all males? Where was the equality?
