It was a crisp, fresh morning. Dew coated the grass, birds were flitting about in the trees. Flowers were beginning to bloom, and the sun was just above the horizon. It was a perfect day to start anew.
Tallulah emerged from the alphas' den, stretching her legs and letting the sun warm her fur. The air was pleasantly cool, and it woke her up quickly. The Groenendael set off to the pond to take a drink. She bent her nose to the water, lapping quietly as she enjoyed the sounds of nature around her.
The alpha sat down on the shore, bowing her head in silent prayer. She made a prayer to the Three, praying to them that today would be full of success and love. When she finished her prayer, Tallulah padded back to her den, sitting in the shade of the entrance. She would wait for her packmates to wake at their own leisure.

Missy opened her eyes as she looked around her den. She slowly sat up as she gave herself a minute or two to fully shake of the sleepiness that dredged throughout her body. She opened her mouth widely in a yawn as her tongue lolled out. She stood up and stretched as she made her way towards the entrance of the den. She poked her head out as she looked around spotting Tallulah.
She quickly padded out of the den as she approached Tallulah, which rested at the entrance of her den in the shade. She dipped her head respectfully. "Greetings." She barked with a loud clear voice. She padded a few more steps to the side as she laid down a few tail lengths away from Tallulah. She yawned again as she rested her head on the ground. "What a nice morning." She commented basically to no one.

Tallulah smiled as her packmate, Missy, emerged from her den. She was glad to see that her pack wasn't sleeping in too late. She dipped her head respectfully to the younger canine, grinning. "The gods have blessed us with a beautiful day," she said, taking a deep breath to enjoy the scent of the forest around them.
Her eyes scanned the horizon. Tallulah had no set plans for the day, but she could perhaps find something for the pack to work on. "I believe today may very well be a quiet day of bonding. I don't have anything organized right now, and today is too good of a day to waste on training," she said, eyes gazing at the pond. "The pack should focus on the beauty of the day and enjoy living here," she added, nodding to herself.

| Xena ll 8 Months ll Dhole ll Sacred Forest
As the sunlight pooled into the little canines den, she groaned obnoxiously, rolling onto her back and trying to hide herself in the moss that she used as bedding. But, eventually, the birds began to sing and her mind woke up. She sat up almost immediately, bouncing to her paws and running out of her den. Her playful mood had been brought back by the exception of the pack . They had taken her in, given her not only a place to sleep, but meat. Not berries or twigs or bugs, but meat. The pup had begun to grow quickly and so had her spirit. The little Dhole ran to the pond, her dark brown paws bouncing on it's surface before she lowered her head to drink, lapping with quick strokes of her tongue.
When she felt she had had enough and her stomach growled with it's own mind of hunger, she bounded over to the two black canines. Xena didn't know much about the ranks, only that the large black dog, Tallulah was the leader of them all. It was an instinct. Xena didn't need to be told who led the pack, because it was a canines scent and instinct that told them. But, when she caught Tallulah speaking of something called a God she pranced over with a cocked head. Because she hadn't grown up in the pack - but on her own - she knew nothing about the Gods they worshiped, it was something she would need to be taught and then adapt to. She ran up to the Alpha and began pawing at her with tiny, black paws. "Tallulah, what's a God?" She asked her eyes wide and round, as though she had just seen the most wonderful thing in the world and that it belonged to her. This was something fascinating and she wanted to know more.

"Yes the Gods have blessed us with a beautiful day." she said as she nodded her head in a agreement as her eyes trailed off in deep thought. But soon enofe her thoughts were ripped away as Tallulah spoke up again. She nodded her head in agreement once again with Tallulah. "Yes today would be a great day for bonding and to focus on the beauty of the day." she said as a cool breeze blew by ruffling her stark black pelt. Her ears swirled around as she heard a rapidly lapping over by the pound. Her eyes quickly lightened up with amusement as she watched the young pup. Her eyes trailed after her as she padded towards Tallulah. She tiny pup began pawing the Tallulah. She smiled as she listened to the question she asked. But she remained quieting wondering what Tallulah would say and do. |

Tallulah was enjoying the cool morning air when Xena bounded out and to the pond. It was always refreshing to see the pup; she brought energy to the pack and gave them a mini adventure everyday. The Groenendael watched with amusement as the Dhole pawed at the water.
When the pup approached, she pawed at Tallulah and asked about the gods. "Oh, Xena, what is a god? A god is a powerful being, which you may not be able to see, that watches over our pack and protects us," she explained sweetly. Tallulah knew the pup was going to ask lots of questions, but the female was patient and willing to teach the Dhole all she knew.

"Oh, Xena, what is a god? A god is a powerful being, which you may not be able to see, that watches over our pack and protects us," The pups eyes widened and she looked around, trying to figure out where the God's were hiding and why she could not see them right now. They lived among the other canines didn't they? The little Dhole spun in a few circles, her paws dancing and tail raised high as she looked all over the camp, trying her best to figure out where the God's were hiding. When she found nothing, she panicked and raced back to the two she canines that were there. She tucked herself neatly between the black wolf - Missy's - paws, pressing her back up against her belly. "Tallulah, I can't find them! Have they abandoned us?" The pup's eyes widened in fear as she cast her head in circles, trying to figure out where they could have gone.

Missy lay quietly observing and watching everything that was going on. She was well aware of the great patience Tallulah had for teaching this young new pup about the Gods. Which reflected great on her as a pack leader. She was glad she was part of this pack. She watched the young dhole. She seemed to be looking for something but she couldn't quite put her paw two too. Was she trying to find the Gods? Oh that little pup. She was deep in thought once again as she tried to find out what the tiny pup seemed to be searching endlessly for.
She gasped a little as she felt the small pup tuck herself neatly between her paws. She looked down at her as she smiled warmly.Usually she wouldn't like to be around pups because pups never really liked her. But this dole was diffrent. "It's ok no need to worry. Gods are spirits the aren't technical here, but yet they are. They live in the sky and they watch down on us." she said trying to put it in a more understandably way for her to understand.
