The day was bustling and hustling with a buttload of traffic. Not only had Major picked up on the Saturday morning traffic, but his mission today was quite clear. He was to meet a potential threat- or, perhaps ally of his beloved pack. Of course, he had only arranged to do so through his messages, and he found out that she was of wolf heritage, he had no problem meeting her face to face. The German shepherd had no problem with wolfs or coyotes, its the hybrids, foxes and mixed breeds that disgusted him. He grew up with a strong sense of allegiance, loyalty and pure breeding between male and female of each breed. Not that he didn't believe in the gift of love, and how strong it could effect one another, but it was also a foolish mistake for a purebred to go along throwing himself at other breeds just for the fun of it, to make more mutts in this tangled up world. Here in Washington, however, you didn't see as much mixed breed ferals as you did in the more southern states. He had never been there, but some say they were practically invested. How...loathsome.
As the young, sturdy male padded down the back alleyways of the busy city towards the back end of the state, where it was practically run by canines, his eyes met those of a cat, a gray tabby to be exact, perched ontop of a large dumpster can behind a bakery shoppe. He tilted his head, the cat mewed and arched its back, letting out a horrid hiss to warn the large dog not to approach any further. Livid, this cat would be. Saliva spat out of his mouth as he hissed once more, Whiskers twitching, his tail moved steadily from side to side as Major crouched, his head locked and muscles rippling for action. One...more...close...
'AHHHHHHH!!'
Major's hard-set focus was called of from a blood-hurling scream that came from behind him. A young woman, perhaps in her thirties or forties had spotted the large canine and was doing her best to off set his prey, as well as call for authoritative backup. She let out another yell that sent shivers down his spine, his body was locked onto the cat, who at this time was now growling at the lady who had upset her ear drums. Laying his ears down to somewhat attempt to block out her loud obnoxious screams, the canine quickly slunk away, past the dumpsters that aligned the alleyway and back behind another street that led onto a busy main street; where he had intended to go to in the first place. Large paws padded across the street by the crosswalk, something street savvy he had learned from years alone in the city. Ears forward and alert, tail relaxed and curled to a slight degree, besides some of the mattings of his ungroomed fur, he was a beautiful boy, something that would make one human filthy rich. Potential? Oh, this champion boy had it all.
Once the male had reached the other far end of the park, bypassing all the humans and pets on leashes and collars, he promptly sat underneath a tree, yawned, stretched his limbs and shook his heavy fur coat. He was playing the waiting game now.
"Speech speech speech."

Tribute As the russet wolf weaved her way out of the trees, she let out a small, gruff growl. They had a meeting with another Alpha from a city-pack down at the park. It wasn't him that had her frustrated, but the fact that she had to get all the way from the woods in which were by the cemetery. In fact, she had a high level of respect for this Alpha. He was strong minded and very strict on his beliefs - a lot like Tribute herself. She was bringing along her closest pack-mate, possibly her Beta one day, a hyena by the name of Serlina. Now that right there was the course of her worries. A hyena in the city was a little bit pushing her luck. She hated coming here in the first place and now they were going to stick out like a sore thumb. But, everything had to come from some where. The wolf slid through a gap in the fence. It used to just be a small pinch but after months and months of using it, it had grown. And it was hidden behind enough greens that the humans didn't even bother to fix it - hence it became the she wolf's perfect way of entering the city.
Taking the entire cemetery as a path to keep her and her Beta hidden, she weaved through and turned her head back to look. "I need you to keep your humor down and behave, Serlina. This is serious." She was saying, her orange eyes strong and hard, it was obviously not a question, but a command. "This is a strong pack and I would like to have them as our allies not our enemies. If we can get any from the city, this is the pack I would choose. And I know your temper, so just try to behave." Another command. They were close to the park now, Tribute assumed that the Alpha had brought along his Beta, too. Not for protection, both of them could handle their selves. But, simply to involve the second hands in the situation itself. It was important to pass along the allies to the next-in-line leaders. Even though Serlina wasn't her Beta yet, chances were with the hyena's strong wisdom and hunting techniques she would be some day. Which was exactly why she had brought her on this little mission.
Finally, after what felt like years of walking, they came to the park. But, they were going to have to get passed all the families and other canines first. Tribute let out a gruff snort, deciding to take the woods which would become home to the nature trails eventually. A small bark to regain the hyena's attention and then she continued on. Her pace quickened and she felt her fur bristling - but they made it through without a problem. How lucky. As she stepped out of the woods she could make out the shape of German Shepherd and by the scent he was a male. "Remember what I told you." She barked, her hard eyes on the hyena once more before she strode over to the male canine. Her ears were perked and stance high, but when she approached she lowered it to that of an equals stance. She dipped her head politely, and indication of respect where she came from. She sat herself a respectful 5 or so paces away and wrapped her tail neatly around her paws.
Her russet furred coat gleamed brightly the reds and grays blending together. She was a unique color for a wolf - especially with those piercing orange eyes. And she was quite proud of it. Her frame was broad making her just about the same size as the large brute that stood in front of her. Yes, she needed him as her ally. He was perfect. "Greetings, Major." She spoke, her voice sweet in her age but also edged just slightly by the dominance of her rank. "I am Tribute, as you have probably learned from your messengers, and this," She cast her head toward the hyena. "Is Serlina. She is not my Beta as I do not have one, but she is my second in command and can be trusted fully." She spoke, then fell silent, her ears twitching. Major was alone at the moment and she figured that the meeting wouldn't start until his Beta showed up, so she found her patience and silence.

Bang, clang, horns and the rushing of people in the streets. What seemed like a normal day in the city was so much more to the shepherd slinking in the shadows. This day meant that his pack could gain an ally or an enemy. Ricochet didn't give a crap about allies or enemies, but this was in the best interest of Major, his Alpha, so it had to be important to Ricochet. After all, he was the Beta. In fact, Ricochet considered himself the perfect Beta, that is until today. Today, the brute was late. He had given into his primitive instinct and prey drive. On the way into the city, Ricochet chased down and killed a rabbit. Not much of a meal for his large stomach, but the taste was quite satisfying. Just thinking of the juicy morsel had Ricochet's stomach rumbling. Scarlet blood dripped from his maw, the same blood splattered on his toes. This was why the German Shepherd was prowling in the darkness. The last thing he needed was to attract attention from humans and arrive even later. With a swift sweep of his tongue, the last of the fresh blood was removed from his powerful jaws, leaving only dried blood his fur was caked with. Making sure that he would no longer have to worry about attracting attention, the brute emerged from the shadows and made a beeline for the park, which was only a block away.
Sharp coal black eyes darted from human to human as Ricochet watched them pass by, unaware of his presence. His agile frame swerved through the mass of bipedal creatures to busy to even notice him. Stupid humans. Their senses are so dull, it's like they've completely faded away. Suppressing a sigh of disappointment, Ricochet slipped out of the crowd and rotated his head to get one last glance at the silly creatures. It was sad that these things got to rule the world. Canines were a noble species with hardly any corruption to their souls. Ricochet could understand why the Iustitia pack were bent on overthrowing the humans. Although it did interest Ricochet, he believed it wasn't the canine's place to overthrow humans. No, it was nature's. Nature would take it's coarse and the humans would fade away like the ruins of their ancestors. The black male's narrowed eyes halted their studying of the bustling crowd and focused on the lush greenery of the park that appeared from the horizon. As the traffic was at a standstill, he made a quick sprint from one sidewalk to the other. After his safety was guaranteed, Ricochet strode across the next road and the next. Finally, he was standing inches away from soft green grass. It only took a quick intake of his surroundings before he caught the familiar scent of his Alpha. Abandoning his typical swagger, Ricochet followed the scent in a very dignified manner, avoiding humans as best as he could. Soon, his obsidian eyes registered the sight of his Alpha and another canid, a she-wolf.
The dark furred beta padded up in a very respectful way, dipping his head to the she-wolf. "My apologies. I ran into a few... complications." The German Shepherd spoke with deep alluring vocals. He chose not to specify on those complications mentioned, although he assumed the alphas would pick up on them. Taking a seat next to Major, the slightly shorter shepherd noticed the she-wolf's beta for the first time. A hyena. How... interesting.

We're going to meet some other alpha, she said. It'll be easy, she said. It won't be too difficult, she said. Only after the hyena has begun moving towards the sound of cars and people did she realize that this alpha they were going to meet ruled the cities blocks, not the rocks of a creek bed as she had thought. She followed the alphess quietly without too much complaint; until they got to the small hole in the fence.
Sure, SHE fit through fine, but Serlina sighed heavily at the sight. She had to wiggle her way through on her stomach for the most part, and upon getting back up she gave her alpha an unamused look. "I hate ya so much right now you don't even know." Tribute didn't seem to hear her and continued on, with Serlina sighing and moving after her. She kept herself low to the ground, borderline prowling through the cemetery to try and avoid notice. "I need you to keep your humor down and behave, Serlina. This is serious." "Alright, understand yer concern; I'll try to keep the jokes and whoops down." Whispering was also a measure she was taking, all around she was reducing the noise she was making in an attempt to keep herself out of view of the humans. Sure; she could rip out a jugular and be done with them but they had those weird devices which would- and could - kill even her so it just didn't. . . Didn't seem like a great idea.
"This is a strong pack and I would like to have them as our allies not our enemies. If we can get any from the city, this is the pack I would choose. And I know your temper, so just try to behave." "Yep, Yep I uh," A small pause. "I got it the first time Miss Alphess." Serlina, much as she joked, did not have to be told a command twice. She would follow it the first time, or ignore it. Reminding her just annoyed her slightly, but could understand the weight she was carrying with the meeting. Tribute had stopped, so the Hyena had to remain in her prowl position for a few seconds while she thought, in this time Serlina's ears swiveled left and right at all the sounds. Hyena's hearing could reach about three miles around her, and right now she was at a borderline sensory overload with all the honking and yelling around her. A quick bark broke Serlina's confusion, and moved her along into trees again- Thank whatever God was out there.
Now it got simple, follow Tribute through the park till the meeting place was found. It seemed like a bit of time to walk there, after a bit Tribute stopped and looked Serlina in the eye. "Remember what I told you." Serlina frowned, and in a quick sarcastic tone, responded. "Yes, Mother, I will keep my mouth shut. Thank you for the third reminder." Again, a whisper so only her Alphess heard her, then back to her prowl walk to the treeline. Sitting up exposed her a bit too much for her liking, so she - as respectfully as one could - borderline laid down with her head low in respect of the other alpha.
"Greetings, Major. I am Tribute, as you have probably learned from your messengers, and this," She turned to look at Serlina, who quickly tried to look as well as she could without drawing attention. "Is Serlina. She is not my Beta as I do not have one, but she is my second in command and can be trusted fully." Holding back the urge to say anything what so ever, the Hyena merely nods, then lowering her head again.
Her ears heard the beta just before her nose caught his scent, with her looking towards his arrival with a cocked head. "My apologies. I ran into a few... complications." Serlina merely lowered her head again- She might be getting paranoid but she was going to try to keep herself out of sight. Even just dipping her head slightly worked to keep her out of sight- But trying to look noble as a beta should was also a worried and this just wasn't working out for Serlina.

So. This was the time. And since Major's pack had just settled into this town of Washington, the intelligent creature had taken it to his decision to make allies- and not just enemies yet. He would, of yes definitely make some enemies, but now he was trying to steady the balances between good and evil and just settle in before doing something he would regret. Drastically. He shook his long coat, and as the scent particles from his fur drifting off into the air. They would smell him, alright. Alpha is a hard scent to miss, but alpha male is even harder. He had some stares coming his way, mostly from other dogs, either threatening or admirable, he wasn't sure which ones he liked better at the time being, honestly. If you asked him, he would much rather have some city pedigree than some country mutt. It was just standard. As he lifted his head, he could smell the scent of two canines traveling together, very close to his wellbeing. He stood, waiting for the arrival for which he could practically for see, sniffing the air eagerly. His tail perked and ears flickered back and forth, catching every little snap or crack from around the park within in two hundred feet radius around him. Then, finally, he caught sight of a medium sized grey wolf, probably pure of course, and trailing behind her was...a hyena? In the city of Washington? Or, more or less, the United States? Major couldn't help but chuckle to himself. Interesting. Very..interesting.
When the approached closer, the femme's head went into a respective nod, lower than most, so he lowered his cranium towards the ground, where he had a clear view of his paws, but not so much as he was stretching his shoulders. The only thing that moved respectfully was his neck. As she introduced herself, Major nodded to her tag along addition who was mute for the time being. Serlina, as Tribute called her, looked rather, half amused yet irritated. Maybe there were a few arguments along the way to meet him. He shrugged, for all he could do was guess. He had had a nice walk over from his territory lands to this park, it actually was not terribly long either. Except for the cat incident, he was rather pleased with himself. "Greetings, Tribute, Serlina." the large brute paused, taking in another breath. Ahh. He could smell him. He was near. "My Beta will be here shortly, I am sorry for the inconvenience. You see, I trust him full to travel on his own after making his rounds, and with any luck he could have been here earlier than I. " He finished, and just so, the large sable German shepherd padded up, with an irritated look upon his face. Major twitched his tail intrusively, watched as he made his apologies and took his aligned seat beside him. He cleared his throat gently, and then began to what he was really here for.
"This is Ricochet, and I am very proud to call him my beta." He continued, "So, let's get down to what we came here for, shall we?"

Tribute Tribute's ears twitched and her tail flicked irritably on the end. Serlina's humor was already getting on her nerves and she was crossing the toes on her paws that the 'humorous' hyena would keep her mouth shut, or at least the sarcasm switch turned off if she did. Tribute had constantly reminded her, and in return she got the same bits of sarcasm. Once the other Alpha had introduced himself as Major, Tribute dipped her head once more, another symbol of respect. "My Beta will be here shortly, I am sorry for the inconvenience. You see, I trust him full to travel on his own after making his rounds, and with any luck he could have been here earlier than I. " Trusting his word -yes, she would have to learn to trust him if anything that was going on here would ever work out - she nodded her head slightly, falling silent and waiting patiently. That was one thing the russet wolf was good at - being patient and waiting for things to fall right into her paws. Well, that was what she was hoping for in fact. Things needed to go her way here, she needed to get this pack on their side or they were all doomed.
When another canine came into the area, she could only assume it was Major's Beta. When the Alpha spoke up, Tribute was well aware that it was. "This is Ricochet, and I am very proud to call him my beta." He continued, "So, let's get down to what we came here for, shall we?" Another nod of her agreement and she dipped her head once again, but this time to the Beta. "It's a pleasure." She barked, her voice friendly, yet edged and as serious as the meeting they were here to discuss. Her paws danced lightly and her orange eyes were on the German Shepherd, indicating for him to start what they needed to get along with. Again, the Alphess sat patiently, her tail lightly flicking the ground at the very tip and her ears standing high, alert on her head. Yes, she was ready to get this meeting started.
