The day was bustling and hustling with a buttload of traffic. Not only had Major picked up on the Saturday morning traffic, but his mission today was quite clear. He was to meet a potential threat- or, perhaps ally of his beloved pack. Of course, he had only arranged to do so through his messages, and he found out that she was of wolf heritage, he had no problem meeting her face to face. The German shepherd had no problem with wolfs or coyotes, its the hybrids, foxes and mixed breeds that disgusted him. He grew up with a strong sense of allegiance, loyalty and pure breeding between male and female of each breed. Not that he didn't believe in the gift of love, and how strong it could effect one another, but it was also a foolish mistake for a purebred to go along throwing himself at other breeds just for the fun of it, to make more mutts in this tangled up world. Here in Washington, however, you didn't see as much mixed breed ferals as you did in the more southern states. He had never been there, but some say they were practically invested. How...loathsome.
As the young, sturdy male padded down the back alleyways of the busy city towards the back end of the state, where it was practically run by canines, his eyes met those of a cat, a gray tabby to be exact, perched ontop of a large dumpster can behind a bakery shoppe. He tilted his head, the cat mewed and arched its back, letting out a horrid hiss to warn the large dog not to approach any further. Livid, this cat would be. Saliva spat out of his mouth as he hissed once more, Whiskers twitching, his tail moved steadily from side to side as Major crouched, his head locked and muscles rippling for action. One...more...close...
Major's hard-set focus was called of from a blood-hurling scream that came from behind him. A young woman, perhaps in her thirties or forties had spotted the large canine and was doing her best to off set his prey, as well as call for authoritative backup. She let out another yell that sent shivers down his spine, his body was locked onto the cat, who at this time was now growling at the lady who had upset her ear drums. Laying his ears down to somewhat attempt to block out her loud obnoxious screams, the canine quickly slunk away, past the dumpsters that aligned the alleyway and back behind another street that led onto a busy main street; where he had intended to go to in the first place. Large paws padded across the street by the crosswalk, something street savvy he had learned from years alone in the city. Ears forward and alert, tail relaxed and curled to a slight degree, besides some of the mattings of his ungroomed fur, he was a beautiful boy, something that would make one human filthy rich. Potential? Oh, this champion boy had it all.
Once the male had reached the other far end of the park, bypassing all the humans and pets on leashes and collars, he promptly sat underneath a tree, yawned, stretched his limbs and shook his heavy fur coat. He was playing the waiting game now.
