Steady, silent paw steps crept along the roadside by the cemetery. The coyote loved places like this. Not only were they dark and mysterious, they terrified the little canines and humans that found themselves stuck inside it at this hour. Above his head, the moon was round and full in the sky, not a cloud to be seen. It sent a chill down the coyote's spine, but he couldn't feel fear, could he? All he knew was how to kill and how to obey orders. A push-button soldier, that was all he was. His tail twitched lightly in the motion of an arch. The one in which he had gathered his name from.
A name where if you asked, he would tell you the devil gave it to him - since his mother left him before giving him anything but a death sentence. But, above all, Archer had survived, and if his mother could see him now, she would realize she had created a monster. Suddenly, a yap of a bark in the night caught the coyote's attention. A tiny chihuahua looking dog ran up to him, shaking it's body aggressively. Archer cocked his head, letting out a vicious bark that should have sent the other toy-dog running. But, instead, it clamped it's tiny, needle-like teeth into the coyote's leg. This is why I don't show mercy or kindness. His mind growled sarcastically and he snapped his head onto the smaller dogs throat and tossed it. It was a killing bite, though it would take some time to effect. It's limp body landed in the middle of the road, twitching like a rabid mongrel. Though, to the dumb humans they would think someone hit it.
Now, his mouth was stained with rat blood (what he considers small dogs) and a foul taste. A growl of annoyance and he turned into the cemetery, tail lifted in dominance as it swayed in the quite wind. A chill ran past him and ruffled his fur. Oh, he loved the feeling of the supernatural. Though he wasn't much of a believer in an after-life, he sure enjoyed the thrill of it. And he was planning to 'thrill' any little canine or human that found themselves in this horrendous place tonight.

Avery was always here;in the cemetery. She'd just wander about, killing rats and crows and leaving their bodies to rot beside some losers grave as she continued on;this was her new and improved home of dead things. A place that she could spend hours in and it'd never bore her. Humming quietly to herself, Avery had awoken from a sleepless nap, a nap that consisted of the ghost faking to be asleep so some creature would awaken her, think that she's some easy prey, try to attack but, well, she'd be the victor. Can't kill this demon! With her rump wagging in the air, Avery stretched with a small yawn before she gazed about, breathing in the cold, crisp and rotting air before she smelled something...Different. Bringing herself to her feet, the females body went rigid as she gazed about more carefully this time, feeling her lips pull back into a smirk;a new victim!
While she began to hunt down this new creature, Avery had began to hum up a storm once more, obviously giving away that she was there before she caught sight of it;it looked like a coyote, and a male one at that. By the look in his eyes, Avery would assume that he was out hunting as well. Watching as he disposed of a small dog, an ugly one at that, Avery felt her eyes narrow as she crept out from behind a large statue of a weeping angel. Although she was hungry, she decided to play a game with the male;he obviously loved to kill so why not give him a good chase? Or, have him chase her until he'd notice she was already dead! Yes, it seemed fun! Letting out a playful bark, Avery wagged her long tail, flicking her ears. Maybe he'd think she was some mutt who didn't get the fact that he would kill her if he got the chance! Either way, once she knew he got a sight of the black hybrid, the female took off deeper into the cemetery, weaving around graves happily. (EWWWWWW)

ARCHER
As he walked along, the coyote was so lost in his own mind that he didn't smell the female before she barked toward him..Or was it the fact that she actually had no scent at all.? After she had barked, the coyote stopped, ears lifted as he sniffed at the air. But, no matter what he did, he couldn't smell the she-dog that was right before him. His ears pinned but - hey, maybe his nose was just deciding it wanted to take a break. It was a humorous thought, but maybe he was just having problems smelling and that was why. Holding on to his pride, the male threw out his own bark, before the female bolted away. Kicking back his paws, he chased after her, though she too, ran into the darkness. Some part of thanks to being a coyote was that he had keen vision in the dark. But, as he chased the female, it was almost as if he could see the ground through her. He shook his head hard - that was just a silly thought, of course he couldn't see through her..Right?
Chill out. The night is playing tricks on you. His mind commented and the coyote tried his best to believe it. But, when he finally caught up with the black canine and snapped at her paws, his teeth seemed to go right through them. That sent the coyote sliding to a stop, his heart thudding in his chest and his ears high on his head in confusion. You just missed. His mind growled but that was not possible. I never miss. His conscience responded and he shook his head hard once more, claws digging into the dirt as he tried to work out a logical conclusion to the matter. Ghosts couldn't exist and even if they did it's not like you could see them. Nor feel them. But, hear them? He could believe that. The coyote watched in the distance, ears high and eyes wide and alert. Yet, even with the proof, he still held onto his pride, shoving his fear down his throat and forcing his fur to lie flat. "What are you?!" He shouted into the darkness, his tail arching along with his ears. He was forcing his fear into aggression, making him more dangerous not only to himself, but anyone that was around him. "Don't play games with me." He lowered his neck, chin almost brushing the ground. His warning that he would attack - though he was fully aware that he couldn't attack this female. She was already dead. +Hadley+ Hex#2fb66a

Avery knew he'd fall into her trap;just from the look in his eyes. He would go after a creature that looked helpless-He was chasing after a ghost who wanted nothing to do what he has done many times before;she'd end him. Although she was new to being a ghost and such, Avery had sort of got a hang of touching others without flying right through them as she had before. It wasn't until he felt a tingling in her hind legs did she realize he knew;what she was. Or, had gotten startled when his jaws caught no skin and bones. As he stopped his chase, Avery retreated into the shoulders, watching him from where she hid with her light ocean colored eyes, a smirk appearing as she felt her own growl ripping through her throat and echoing around the cemetery. "What am I? I am not a what-I am a who!" She hissed angrily. The coyote male was speaking to her as if she was a wicked thing;she was wicked at heart, yes, but as a creature? No, she was not that!
Stepping out from her hiding spot, Avery circled the male angrily;he had no right! No right to wander on to my land and speak to me that way! With her fur rising as well as she anger, Avery giggled crazily;she was slightly insane, yes, but at the same time, she was more sane then others. "Oh, shut up!" She growled, stopping to face the male, looking offended. "A game? You think life and death is a game? Life is either your master or death is;you? What about you? Who is your master?" Was she speaking right? Making sense? Probably not.
