"I think the male will by the sound of things. Where do you think Tribute gave him the scars?" Soft snicker, a bob of the head with it. "Everywhere. Neck probably; weakest spot." With a quiet exhale, her alphess came down the hill once more. She relaxed upon meeting the two, seemingly annoyed at either how she had to hold herself around newcomers or the newcomers themselves. "Before we have them announce themselves, do you think they are worthy? I want both opinions and reasons why they should join."
Silence, Serlina turned her head and glared at the two newcomers, tilting her head softly and looking them over. The female was alike herself, muscles rippling beneath her flesh, while the male seemed to hold himself in such a way that she got the feeling he knew a away around her already; probably quieter too. "I think they're worthy." Serlina turned her left ear towards the brother, listening whilst examining the two. "Sure they didn't approach right away, but I believe they have potenti, al. Already you've seen that Poseidon, is it, would make an excellent spy for us. And Lachiel there has the build of a warrior." "So a build gets 'ya in a pack now'a'days?" Turn of the head to the brother. "'N the boy, he hasn't even shown what he can do. Sure he's got a. . ." Turning her head to look over the male again, speaking while she did. "A look to 'im, but that is nothin' out here." A quick turn to the alphess, and a lowering of the voice to keep this between the three pack mates. "I'm not sure about 'em. 'Till I can see what they can do, I'm not gonna cast a vote. I'm not gonna bet on builds and looks just yet."

TRIBUTE
The russet she wolf listened as her brother told her how that coyote male would make an excellent spy and the female had the build of a warrior. She didn't butt in and listened and nodded her head as he spoke. Once he finished, she turned to Serlina, listening as the hyena told her that she could not determine a vote on the others until she saw how the acted when needed. The she wolf nodded her head, a small smirk on her face as she turned back to the pair of rogues. "Alright, here's the deal." She spoke, the smirk never leaving her face and her tail tip twitching - the indication that she had some kind of trick up her sleeve. "You are welcome to our pack. However, whatever you rank you wish to have, you will have to prove it by passing a small test. And that test will be proven today, right now." A flick of her ears and a proud grin on your face. "If they choose to out rank one of you," She flicked her head from Serlina to Patriot. "then you will need to defend your title against them. Think of it like a war to prove yourselves."
There was a purr behind the she wolf's scheme, she wanted to have a little fun. Her gaze flicked back to the coyote. "Poseidon, I assume your name is? What rank do you want?" She asked the male, her eyes holding a tension that proved she wasn't holding any patience at the moment, so she wanted to funny business, as she had pretty much already proved by scarring up his ear. Once she had gotten a response, she turned her head to the female. "State your name and desired place in my pack." She commented, her tail tip twitching still. Once they had given her their answers, the test would take place and they would need to prove themselves worthy. aragwain , serlina

Patriot just shrugged at Serlina. All he was doing was giving his honest opinion on th two newcomers. And to be honest, he believed he was right about both of them. Slowly, he listened to the conversation being carried out between them, the three current pack members, and as his sister unraveled the little plot she had hidden up her sleeve. He gave a respectful nod towards her, then turned his head towards the newcomers as Tribute asked the male what rank he wanted and the name and desired rank of the female.
Poseidon gave a respectful nod to the alphess when she addressed him. He was raised that way. He shuffled his feet slightly as he quickly gathered his thoughts together before speaking. "Believe it or not, I desire the position of spy. I'm quiet, stealthy, careful. I'd be there long enough to get the information you would want, and then I'd silently slip away."
When it came for Lachiel's turn to speak, she nearly froze up. She gave a respectful nod to the alphess as she had seen the other canines do. "My name is Lachiel, Alphess. And I'd like to become a warrior and serve this pack. I'm quick, I have great endurance so I don't tire easily, and I am able to think up some quick strategies that will benefit most everyone I fight with."

[[ CRAP I NEVER SAW THIS POST I AM THE WORST I AM SO SORRY ]]
Serlina merely tilted her head at the new assignment. She wasn't gonna outrank them unless they both chose hunter which, unsurprisingly really, neither did. The female was going into warrior, which was expected for the most part from the hyena, and the male into spy. Both said good things about themselves, but that seemed more than a bit too perfect with no bad things about them. Pro's and con's usually helped her choose who to trust, but with all the good she'd have to find out hands on about the bad.
Which was just fine with her if anyone asked.
"Ah-haaaa. . . They're gonna be joinin' us for our lil' tests too."

Patriot tilted his head as he listened to the two dogs. It was really no surprise to him when the two other canines just supplied his sister with good things about themselves. Of course they would. They wanted to impress as much as they possibly could. And yet he didn't really mind competing with either one of them for his position if he really had to. "So you two never had anything bad happen to you? Nothing that would be a flaw?" Patriot asked softly and yet his tone held a deep seriousness, he was letting the other two know that he was not going to mess around.
Poseidon shifted on his feet uneasily when Patriot had spoken of anything bad happening to them that would make them flawed in any way. He let his head fall so he stared at the ground before answering. "I was out hunting with my sister once. I had told her to be quiet and be careful of what she stepped on or just simply where she put her feet. A few minutes later, I accidentally stepped on a fallen twig. Next thing I know my sister is dead next to me. Or once when I was trying to take food from outside a human's home, they heard me and chased me off. There have been a few occasions where I have made enough noise to get myself or others into trouble, but they were mistakes that have helped me learn." Poseidon said looking back up at Patriot with somewhat cold eyes.
Patriot nodded slightly after the coyote had finished. He finally had something with which to judge the other male's abilities on. Next he turned to the female who had been looking between four of them the entire time they'd been speaking. "And what about you?" Patriot asked her. He understood that it was actually supposed to be his sister's place to question the canines, but he was doing what any brother does and that was help his sister as much as he possibly could before she yelled at him.
Lachiel stared Patriot right in the eye, with occasional glances at the others (mainly the alphess) as she replied, "I've lost canines in battle when I shouldn't have. I've come up with some strategies where myself nd other fellow companions have gotten caught. I picked a fight with someone when I should have minded my own business. I have many flaws, but none of those would make me ever put my pack, family, or friends in jeopardy ever again."
