Tribute Finally. She had finally gotten just what she had wanted - a pack. It was still small and there wasn't much to brag about just yet, but hey, at least she wasn't alone anymore. She could continue trying to recruit from the city, or have hopes that they would find her, just like her first two had done. Well, her brother didn't really find her, but more so returned to her. Which wasn't much different from the same exact thing. The hyena however, she had found Tribute, and the russet-furred wolf couldn't be more proud! Not only did she had her strong brother, but she had a hyena by the name of Serlina. Hyena's were magnificent hunters and even better fighters. The Alpha couldn't help the smile that was plastered on her face, she was beginning to feel just like a real Alpha.
Now, she found herself in the shipyard, it was old, worn down and dying. But, it's sandy shoreline was still a nice place for Tribute to place her paws. This would be her main place for announcements and meetings until the pack grew too big to meet here, it was already made up in her mind. Everything was. Today, she had decided that they would all do a border patrol. Just a quick re-scent on the borders to keep them fresh and to make sure the new canines had an idea of the territory. They were both hunters wanting higher ranks - yet for now they would need to know the best places to hunt. Tribute flicked her ears - not exactly sure where they were now, but she knew exactly how to signal them.
The Alpha raised her head to the sky, releasing a long, strong howl from deep in her throat. It was a summoning howl, not only to her own pack-mates, but to anyone who had ended up on her territory. The sun was high today, the weather perfect. Maybe after the border and tour were done they should hunt? The deer would surely be up toward the meadow, enjoying the cool sun. A light shrug of her shoulders - she would have to wait and see. But, for now, she stood propped on an old ship, looking down into the clearing where her pack mates would sit and listen. Oh, she loved being the Alpha.

Patriot stopped in his tracks when he heard his sister's summoning howl. He was actually in the middle of taking a deer down. He sighed slightly and turned running back towards the shipyard. He ran as fast as he could to the clearing. Sitting down, he looked up at her. She was right, she looked more like an alpha than mos others would. From where she was on th old ship, he bet that she could see a whole lot more that just the clearing he was now sitting in. Patriot looked around trying to see if the other Hunter, that was a part of their pack, was coming into the clearing.

A howl bounced across the lands in a smooth call to gather. Twitching her ears the newest addition to the pack listens carefully to the call, calmly shoving herself to her feet and walking on her way. The hyena was of strong build, with her spots lightly faded to show her age of three years. Everything about her, her look of insanity in her eyes, the slight swagger in her step, even the air around her warned of all the dangers that she could bring.
She began lightly trotting towards the area of the howl, her breath leaving in lazy pants and inhales with an involuntary series of whoops echoing from her throat as she moved. The wolf was already there, the brother, she could smell him from here. Good, she wouldn't need to wait for anyone else; and she was the last one arriving. Leaping over a log she calmly bounds into the clearing, lazily gazing over the landscape before moving beside the male and sitting.
She lifted her head to look upwards the her alphess above, turning it softly to the side. "Ya' know there are plenty ah ways other than this for a problem, yea?"

Tribute The first of the two other pack-mates to arrive was the Alpha's brother, Patriot. The female dipped her head in greeting, but would say nothing until the final member arrived. Her patience was high as well as her head as she waited in the gentle silence for the hyena to show up. Soon enough, she did. Tribute had been expecting it - the first words off the Hyena's lips were sarcasm. Acting as though Tribute was about to throw herself off her mount and to her death below. She had to give a light chuckle Serlina's humor. It was one of the reasons she liked the canine so much.
When they were all settled and what seemed a good time to begin, she turned her head to the hyena. "Ah, there is. I couldn't just send you guys off to be loners again so quickly, could I?" She whined, her voice edged with false sadness before she chuckled deeply and took a higher stance, indicating that the time for jokes and sarcasm was over and it was time to begin the real reason they were here. Her tail thumped softly and her ear twitched before she began. "So, since we finally have more than one member, we are going to do a quick patrol on the border. Not only are you going to help me mark the borders to show that we are strong, but also for you to get a better eye for the territory. You two are hunters, you need to know the best places to hunt and track, and I plan to show you to it. Or more so, have you show me. This is my own little test to you to see where I want to put you in the hunting ranks." She finished lightly, her voice ringing with dominance.
However, it was a good cause. By them telling her where they thought was a good place to hunt, she could determine their tactics and she would question their strategies. When the pack would hunt, it would hunt in a specific tactic. Certain wolves would be the ones to chase of the herd, while others separate the prey, and a final will take the kill. They would also need a lead. Because, Tribute, liked the be organized she would have to do this early in the packs forming. This was a way for her to get it done more quickly.
"Ready to set off? It's going to be a long day." She barked, leaping swiftly off the ship and landing neatly in the sand. She cast her head back to look at the others, waiting for them to join her.

"I was already hunting before I got here, so I know one spot. It's a clearing just by the edge of our border." Patriot voiced standing up and walking up to her, but making sure to stay a respectful distance behind. He tilted his head slightly as he waited for the hyena to join them once more.
Meanwhile up above the little spot where they had conveyed, a young male coyote stood watching them with a female German shepard of about the same age. Both of them were Visitors looking for a pack, and they believed they'd found one, they just didn't know how to approach the alpha.

In short; Go off on patrol, kill things, get food; possible rank. Serlina merely lowered her head and, lifting her jowls up to do so, grinned. Showing her sharpened teeth, some of which seemed to have older scrapes and stains from past run ins. She began moving forwards, towards where the other two were; before. . .Stopping.
Her ears twitched about before she began sniffing at the air quickly for a few seconds. . . Then she raised her head and bared her teeth, growling audibly. The growl soon turned to a hyena's loud 'laugh' of a growl as her eyes set upon two newcomers above. Her paws had spaced out slightly in a clear defensive posture while her hind end was slightly lowered in prep to either jump at or away from them.
Without removing her eyes from the two she spoke loudly, allowing her voice to both bounce to the alphess and brother, and to the two newcomers. "Miss Alphess, Unannounced visitors. . ." She continued glaring at them in warning, waiting for her alphess.

Tribute The Alphess had been turning on her way to head out when two new scents filled her nose. A growl rumbled in the pit of her throat, before she noticed Serlina had already taken to the defensive. Miss Alphess, unannounced visitors..The hyena had growled and Tribute turned her head to the hill. Her tail and ears were arched with dominance and aggression. Were they spies? This pack was open for joining, so why were they just..staring? With a low growl, she flicked her tail for the two canines in the pack to stay put, she would signal a summoning bark if she was to need their assistance. Her paws stretched forward in quick movement, lurging her forward lightning quick. She bolted up the hill, claws pulling on the surface so that she could reach them. Since the pair was together, Tribute assumed the male was in charge.
She lunged at him - using all her body weight to slam into him in attempt to bowl him over like a piece of prey. If he went down, she hovered over him, her paw on his chest to prevent him from getting up or fighting back. Her teeth were only a couple inches from her face when she spoke back up, her voice a threatening snarl that showed bright white fangs. "And why are you watching us? Are you spying? Or just too pathetic to approach?" She snarled, tongue running over her teeth before she continued. "Speak your purpose!" She barked, it was a command. She didn't take her eyes from the young coyote, waiting for him to make his move. Though her ears were on the female in case she had intentions of a sneak attack.

Patriot had started forward slightly when Serlina had given the warning that there was two visitors. He whined softly when his sister had flicked her tail. He wasn't quite used to being told to stay back from a fight. He watched as she bounded up the hill and then took down the young coyote.
Poseidon watched as the other canine was running towards them and then rammed into him. He gave no reaction as the alpha stood above him with her teeth bared. It didn't frighten him in the least. He whined just a little, and he was about to speak when Lachiel' s thoughts projected into both his mind and the young alphess'.
"Poseidon' s just overly cautious. We heard there was a pack in this area, and we just wanted to make sure it was true. We didn't mean any harm. So can you please let him up?" Lachiel asked politely and dipped her head, recognizing the obvious dominance that emanated from the other female.

Serlina kept her head low, with her ears swiveling about quietly. There was nothing to do but wait, wait until her alphess returned, wait until there were sounds of pain, wait until another threat showed up, just wait. Her brother was nearby, he seemed confident in her abilities, but one can't be to prepared for anything.
She quietly looked over at the brother, examining him for the first time. He shared a few similarities between the alphess and himself, but none that she could pull out in the glance. He sat assured his sister could handle herself, but with a soft look of disappointment; From being left behind or from missing a fight she couldn't tell that quickly.
A soft thud drew her attention away from the brother so her eyes could take up looking towards the cliff, and her ears moving quickly to catch each sound as to get a better idea of the fight; the one she was missing.

Tribute Her ears ripped back against her head as the female German Shepherd to her right spoke up. "Poseidon' s just overly cautious. We heard there was a pack in this area, and we just wanted to make sure it was true. We didn't mean any harm. So can you please let him up?" The growl in her throat rose up and she viciously snapped her teeth at the interrupting female though she didn't aim to actually hit her. "I didn't ask you, did I?" She sneered, orange eyes hard and dark. "That's what I thought." She snarled, turning her attention back to the coyote. Her tail was curled into an arch and her teeth were only a couple inches from the coyote's face, her growl getting louder and louder. Just when it seemed she would never stop, she raked her claw at the coyote's ear. Hopefully she hit, and if she did, she didn't slice it too much, just a tear in the skin that was much more painful than it looked.
"Next time, if you expect having someone speak for you is okay, find a different pack or you will have many more scars. You're lucky I left your pretty face alone." She snarled, looking from Poseidon to the female beside him. "What do you want?" Her teeth were gritted and paws dancing as though she were eager for an actual fight. Well, that was what canine blood did to her, sent off a blood-lust she so badly wanted to obtain, though she was in control of it, it didn't stop what she was craving. Patriot smiled slightly as strained to listen to what was going on. It sounded like there was going to be a fight from the way things were going. Eagerly, he got to his feet, tail swishing back an forth every once in a while shifting his position.
When the alphess snapped at her, Lachiel whined softly. She hadn't meant to interrupt, she just didn't like seeing Poseidon get hurt. The two of them had been through so much together that she'd hate to lose him now. He was actually the closest thing to family that she still had left, all the rest had either died or abandoned her.
Poseidon watched and listened as the growls got louder. Granted, he was a little intimidated but he wasn't scared. When the alphess raked her claw across his ear, he had to bite back a whine from escaping his throat. He stared her straight in the eye, well for the most part his gaze s lowered a little, as he responded. "We would like to join your pack."

Sounds bounce off from the rock to her in clean waves. Whimpers, growls, snarls, speech. She could tell who was winning, her alphess obviously, and who was being hurt, the two newcomers. She couldn't do anything, as she had yet to hear her alphess's pain, nor could she lay down as who knew if she could get hurt?
The brother was still calm, as expected, and quietly swished his tail. "Wonder if they'll have any new scars. . ." Muttering the hyena glanced to the brother in an attempt to start a conversation, but she was never great at them. She usually spoke on about a subject until it turned to fights, or killing tatics. Speaking of killing, she was pretty sure wolves around here hunted like she did back home, but she would go second to see.

[[OOC: Don't worry about it]]
Patriot listened to all the sounds coming towards them. It was interesting to listen to. His sister was winning against a male that was probably the same age as her and just about as strong. From what he could tell, the female was just standing there. Why wasn't wasn't she trying to do anything? It was obvious. His sister had warned her to stay back if she wanted her friend to stay alive.
He was so focused on what was happening that he didn't quite hear when Serlina first started talking to him. However, he did catch the end of her question. "I think the male will by the sound of things. Where do you think Tribute gave him the scars?"

We would like to join your pack..The male coyote had spoke and the russet wolf took a step back. Her ears flicked slightly and she stood off the male, allowing him to get to his paws. She paced away from them just a little bit, her nose picking up the scent of blood that leaked from the coyote's ear. "And why do I need you in my pack, what can you do for me?" Her ears pulled back and she flicked her tail to silence them before they even spoke up. "You will announce this with the rest of the pack." With that, she bounded down the hill, her head high and tail lifted in her own dominance.
There was even a hint of pride in that step now, one for her mini victory of the Shepherd and coyote. When she reached the other two members of the pack, her body arched up in an obvious stress to release her muscles and relax her. Turning to the Hyena and the Wolf, she spoke up. "Before we have them announce themselves, do you think they are worthy? I want both opinions and reasons why they should join." She snarled to the two official members, though it was more of a business growl than a threatening one. If any other canines were joining the back, she wanted purpose, promise, and loyalty. Who better than her highest ranks to give her that decision? Her haunches lowered into a sitting position, tail thumping expectantly at the tip as she waited for the responses. aragwain , serlina "I'm talking" I'm thinking

Poseidon slowly stood up after the alphess had gotten off of him. He listened to the female before she went off bounding down the hill after flicking her tail. He jerked his head at Lachiel and together they followed her. When she stopped, they stopped too but they were still pretty close to the three other members.
Lachiel sat down beside Poseidon, so she was in between him and the brother from the sounds of things. She listened as the other two explained and gave their thoughts on if they'd be worthy enough to join the pack. She had to admit that some of the unspoken thoughts she could hear we're a bit unsettling.
Patriot stood as soon as his sister was back in front of them, dipping his head in respect before sitting back down on his haunches. He gave a quick glance at the other two canines, studying them closely. They both seemed pretty decent and strong wolves. The female seemed to have the build for fighting, and from what he had heard the male was just like a spy. "I think they're worthy. Sure they didn't approach right away, but I believe they have potenti, al. Already you've seen that Poseidon, is it, would make an excellent spy for us. And Lachiel there has the build of a warrior."
