Ash ll 4 year old ll Decus ll German Shepherd
The German Shepherds paws felt familiar and almost painful as he swerved off the street and into the park he used to go to all the time with his old owner. Some would say that humans weren't worth getting all moped up over, but a police dog and his master shared a special connection. A bond stronger than that of a pair of dogs with puppies. They would also argue that maybe his master just walked out on him, but the young dog knew so much better. He knew what death smelled like, and after his owner had been taken away by the others, it was everywhere. And today it still clung to his nose if he really thought about it. A light sigh escaped his lips and he frowned, continuing to walk across the park to his favorite spot.
He came to a stop at the little pond that lay close to the middle. He and his master would sit here and look at there reflections, or his master would pull out a book and read to himself while Ash laid in the grass and soaked up the sun. It was just a perfect moment that they had shared. But, now, as he sat there and stared down at his reflection he realized he was all alone. He had left the kill-cage and never looked back. All things happened for a reason, didn't they? So that new things could roll in? Then where was his good thing? Why did he not feel like things were getting better, yet only worse? It wasn't fair. He had done nothing to deserve this. A light whine escaped his throat and he slunk down into a laying position. His dark nose just lightly touched the waters surface, his breath causing it to make ripples. Around him, he could hear the human pups laughter and the joyful barks of the other dogs. It was peaceful, but he was not in the mood for peaceful, not today. I'm thinking I'm talking Hex Code #e63219THANK YOU MALIA TATE FROM ADOXOGRAPHY

Slowly did she run away from the child who let out a squeal of pure happiness and chased after the large dog, arms outstretched as the child's grin widened. "Come back, puppy!" the baby would squeal as he waddled after the auburn coated husky;stopping to allow the child to catch up, Hadley felt the corner of her lips pull up into a goofy looking smile. Hadley loved children, especially the ones who had practically just learned how to walk on their two legs and seemed to have no care in the world;she loved how the child looked at her. In the child's eyes, Hadley could see how happy he was, and that meant everything to her. The child grabbed a hold of her thick coat, running his small chubby hands along her side before he found himself staring into her blue orbs;slowly did the child reach up and attempt to wrap his arms around her neck, but the baby was too small and couldn't. Running her tongue across his cheek, Hadley slowly sat down upon her haunches, pinning down her ears before she crawled down on to her belly, letting out a chuckle that sounded like a grunt to the child as he simply climbed upon her back as she were his stallion and together they would ride into battle.
But today was like any other day, and the child's mother approached the two with her stroller before she bent down to run her hand along Hadley's ears before she talked her child into climbing into his stroller, promising yummy treats when they got home;she didn't like it when her human friends left. Half the time, she'd play with a child and she wouldn't see them again. Yes, this was the spot where Hadley hung around most of her days. Just spending time with children and silently watching as adult humans played with their dogs;if she was really lucky, sometimes a puppy off of his or her leash would run up to Hadley, and they'd play! Honestly, it didn't matter what species wanted to play with her;if they wanted to have fun, then she'd be willing enough to play with those pups and babies. With a sigh escaping her lips, Hadley perked her triangle shaped ears, rolling on to her back as she rested her eyes, allowing the sun to warm her body to the point where Hadley ended up rolling to her feet and wandering away from the playground in search of some real nice shade.
Moving past humans and other dogs, Hadley let her banner hang between her legs she a yawn escaped her grasp. She wasn't exactly tired but goodbyes always had that affect on her;she hoped that child was back tomorrow. In her eyes, he was just a little darling and she enjoyed making someones day. Slowly rubbing her side against a tree, Hadley lowered an ear only slightly before she raised it again, taking notice of a dog, from the distance she couldn't be sure as of what breed, but he lay there, in front of a pond;from his posture he seemed upset, and Hadley couldn't just wander away and let that poor soul be alone! It was against her nature to leave someone to deal with things along like that, and she just hoped the canine wouldn't attack her;she didn't need another episode like last week! Some dumb Rottweiler had gotten loose from it's leash and leaped at Hadley with some anger in his eyes, and taking this as a fight or flight moment, Hadley simply leaped out of his way and ran right across the bark, trying not to tuck in her tail. Slowly moving towards the figure, Hadley softened her gaze a bit as she approached. "Hi."

Ash ll 4 year old ll Decus ll German Shepherd
The four year old was so mixed up in his thoughts that he didn't even notice the other dog approaching him. He lifted his head and looked up when he heard her speak a small "Hi." She was what he could only assume was a husky. Her coat was thick with reds and whites that were nice for the eye to see. Her tail was curled back and he had to admit she was quite a beauty, especially with those striking blue eyes. When she was close enough to sit beside him, the large Shepherd heaved himself into a sitting position, his hind legs bowed forward while he balanced on his forelegs. The sun was bright, but he really only felt it on that large black spot on his back and the mark on his nose, hence the reason he kept burying it in the water. Now, he turned his attention to the pretty, red dog beside him. "Hello." He smiled, giving his tail a light wag. His was long and fluffy like hers, but it didn't curl up, it just kind of hung there. Now that he thought of it, it was kind of boring.
Swiveling his ears to face her, he gave another light smile. "I'm Ash, I don't believe I've seen you around here before." he paused before continuing, "I would remember such a pretty face." It was a corny line and almost sounded like flirting, but really he was just being friendly and trying to make her feel comfortable. Ash didn't get to hang out with many other canines and if he did it was business wise. It felt good to finally have a chance to settle down and talk to a dog that didn't need to know about the where-abouts of the others Alpha and what their next move would be. It was just relaxing and a good way to clear his mind from the past. "What brings you to the park?" Again, another light smile, before he quieted down and allowed the female to talk.

(Oh hush, yours are amaztaco! <3)
As she got closer, it was easier to tell that the dog was in fact a German Shepherd, and as it answered her soft 'hi', she found that it was also a male. Resting on her haunches close by, Hadley craned her neck around, peering behind them with her ears nearly pinned back;she thought it would have seemed weird, to a humans point of view, to just see two dogs sitting beside each other, doing nothing at all. But that was one of the great mysteries in life, and Hadley was no human, so she couldn't compare her thoughts to theirs even if she tried. Slowly did the female turn back to glance over at the male, smiling sweetly like she always did. As others always did, Hadley felt herself being gazed over but that was alright;it was only natural to take in others appearances and wonder about their possible intentions because that was what Hadley found herself doing. By his structure, Hadley assumed the male was at least a year older then her, and he was handsome as any other German Shepherd was.
A small chuckle found it's way up her throat as the male continued to speak to her, calling her "pretty" and such. Tilting her ears forward, Hadley chuckled a little more before she gathered herself to answer. "I go by Hadley. Pleasure meeting you, Ash." Lowering her blue orbs to the water that rested in front of them, she simply gazed across the pond, breathing in all the scents she could before she began to answer Ash again. "The children," she began, looking back behind them to stare at the play ground before she looked back at the male, her banner wagging as a new light shimmered in her eyes and she let out another cheery laugh. "I love kids, you see. So, I come to the park to play with them and escape for awhile." Again, she gazed out at everything, taking in everything before yet again she studied Ash with a curious gaze. "And you?"

Ash ll 4 year old ll Decus ll German Shepherd
Ash couldn't help a little smile when she spoke of the kids. As if on cue, he turned his head to see a couple of them running and playing with a black and white ball. They were older though, not the pups, just a bit older. Old enough to be confident on their two legs and able to move quickly while pushing the ball and not falling. It was a skill that Ash himself had tried to master, but always ended up with a mouthful of dirt or grass. The little pups were pretty cute, too. But, he wasn't really comfortable with the way they yanked on his ears and tails, or tried to place themselves on his back then try and get him to walk. (ooc...i'm guilty of doing that with my shepherd haa) But, they could be fun to play around with if they were gentle - like most were - however you did come across the ones that would rip you around like one of their stuffed toys if they got the chance and Ash couldn't stand that.
"The pups are always fun, as long as they don't harshly pull on my ears and tail." He said with a light laugh. When she asked him about what he was doing here, the Shepherd felt his heart sink again. But, he covered it with a smile. "I'll warn you it's a bit of a sob story." He laughed lightly, flicking his ears and casting his brown eyed gaze back into the water. "I used to work with the police K-9 group a ways down the road from here. When my master died a couple years ago, they locked me up in a kill-cage. There were other dogs, too. They would be taken away one by one and never come back. So, using what I learned when I was a police dog, I got out, bringing a few of the other dogs with me. We all parted after that, but, at least they are free of that horrible place." He paused, turning his head to meet the other dogs eyes. "But, I visit here every once in a while and sit by this little pond where we spent most of our time together. The pack would despise it, but you have to remember somehow." His voice was quiet. But, he lowered his head back down to the water before letting out a chuckle and returning her gaze. "Well, I warned you it was pretty depressing." Another light laugh before her stretched his back and flopped back into a laying position with his belly in the air. I'm thinking I'm talking Hex Code #e63219THANK YOU MALIA TATE FROM ADOXOGRAPHY

"Yeah, it's rather unpleasing to find out you've gotten one child that'd rather rip your ears right out and take some fur with you, instead of getting some gentle loving child but I don't really mind, either way. A child is a child." Surprisingly, her cheery smile never tore from her all while she replied to him, except for when his eyes got sad again. Then, and only then, was when her smile faltered, her wagging stopped and Hadley leaned in only slightly to get a better look at his face, trying to read him when he recovered and sent her smile. Perking her two fluffy ears, Hadley lightly wrapped her tail somewhat around her as she listened. Sob story?"Oh, you don't have-" As she began, the female stopped as he began, answering her earlier question. She wanted to repeat you cut off words and finish them, because she wanted him to know that he didn't need to tell her. It was alright and she was in no place to here his story because that was his story, something he shouldn't have to talk to her about because it was worse enough that he was always reliving it.
At loss for words, Hadley stared down at her thick furred paws, ears pinned back against as her own small whimper rumbled in her throat;he was right. It was depressing! Shifting her body slightly, Hadley finally raised her blue orbs, attempting to smile but his words frolicked around inside her head, causing her to feel suddenly trapped in sharing his sadness. Getting up, Hadley slowly placed her muzzle on his shoulder, wagging her tail. In her mind, she thought the male could use some loving from her. Backing away as he rolled onto his back, Hadley smiled and plopped down on to her stomach as well, crawling again, closer only to rest her head on his stomach, flicking her ears and wagging her tail. "Well, that certainly was sad..I'm so sorry, Ash. But look at you now! I think that sadness strengthens us as well as love does, because together the two feelings can change your life forever, but it depends on how you let it. As far as I know, you didn't allow your grief and perhaps even your anger to take over;you're still you, I think. And I think you deserve some treats just for being you!"

Ash ll 4 year old ll Decus ll German Shepherd
Her smile was contagious and he couldn't help but smile back at her. Something about those eyes pulled him in. After story-telling was over, he felt a soft muzzle on his shoulder and it brought the light back to his eyes and smile onto his face. He lowered his own nose and pressed it lightly against her head, ruffling her fur. He chuckled lightly and ran his tongue over it, licking the fur back down to rest neatly on her head. He had to give another light laugh when she crawled toward him on her belly and began to talk all wise and such which only made his smile larger. "Well, I guess i'd have to say you were right.." His words were slow, but happy, as though he was planning something. "But...what is..." And then he flew up to his paws, letting out a playful bark and nipping lightly at Hadley's big, fluffy tail. After he had her on the move, he chased after her, barking playfully. They were in a park after all, so why not? Parks were meant to play in, and it's not like the humans would mind. There were plenty of dogs loose and playing, no difference here.
When he was finally out of breath, he laid on his fore-paws, rump in the air and tail wagging wildly. "Bet you can't catch me." He howled tauntingly at the red husky, before he gave his butt and little shake, and then bolted off in the opposite direction of his friend. His paws were flying, pulling him faster and faster. He turned to look behind him and then BAM! A yelp and from him and a human scream. He had slammed right into a male human! He watched, tongue lolling as the male human got up, barked something at him, and walked away. "Oops." He barked, his voice full of laughter as he turned to look at the husky behind him, a playful smirk plastered on his face. To say that she had been expecting that would be a complete and utter lie;while she had been resting her head down upon Ash, Hadley hadn't even noticed his words that were laced with I'm-up-to-no-good until she was no longer resting on the male and he was up, yanking at her tail and practically declaring a playful war! Of course, she ran away from the male, her strong legs picking up speed as she led them around and around, dodging bicyclers and others as they played. It was nice to have the wind running along her fur, cooling her skin seeing how all of this fur simply tortured her on warm sunny days. Now, she and Ash had stopped for just a little, her paws aching some running so much as she panted, rolling back her shoulders until she caught the male with his rump in the air, wiggling it with a happy expression and he challenged her once more. "Ooh, really? Well, you better get running then, Ash!" And he did with Hadley soaring after him, letting out loud barks as she picked up her speed, opening her maw only slightly to let her tongue fly out, a bright smile forming but that ended rather quickly as she attempted to skid to a stop.
While they had been running, Hadley hadn't even noticed that male human until she just about to follow suite into crashing into them, but she forced her paws to stop moving, which led to the female colliding with the ground. She wasn't hurt at all, surprisingly, and her only reaction was a fit of laughter as she gathered herself up, shaking out grass. Checking over herself just in case for any small injuries, Hadley bounded closer to Ash, grabbing gently a hold of his neck fur, letting out a loud playful growl that probably didn't sound so playful to the humans that walked past them. (It's a sorry excuse for a post, I'm sorry!)

Ash ll 4 year old ll Decus ll German Shepherd
It appeared that while he was laughing and distraction himself, Hadley, had taken it upon herself to do her own little sneak attack. Her fangs wrapped gently around his throat and she was growling playfully. Deciding to play along, Ash, let out a dramatic, painful whine and flopped onto his side. He tried his best to hold his breath and closed his eyes, waiting for the female to get just a little confused or off guard. As soon/if she did, he instantly jumped up, pushing her over gently, but enough to knock her down to the ground. Before she could get up, he pressed his larger paw firmly on her chest, forcing her to lay on her back, with his paw pushing lightly on her underbelly - yet hard enough to hold her down.
When he thought she was "contained" enough, he bent down and opened his jaw like she was going to bite at her neck, but at the last moment, smothered her face in links. Literally - smothered - licking everywhere and anywhere, including her eyes, nose, mouth, ears, cheeks. Using his paw to hold her in place, he continued licking till her fur was extremely damp and wet. Laughing, he back off her and allowed her to have her space back, only to knock her down again, this time standing over her. "I AM THE ALPHA OF THIS LAND, YOU MUST SUBMIT. OR I WILL BITE YOUR HEAD OFF." He mocked in a strong, loud, mono-tone voice. It must have looked ridiculous to the humans. A lager dog, standing over a smaller one with his paw on her chest, barking very loudly. (A lot like how the hero in a movie puts his foot on the slain human/creature. LOL) Once she submitted, he bounced off again, tail wagging and tongue lolling. He couldn't even remember the last time he had had this much fun. His fur inside her mouth tickled her mouth and nose as she breathed in his scent, growling louder again with a smile as a couple stared at the two dogs, eyes wide like Hadley was doing some bad. It was just a game! Giggling with his fur still all up in her mouth, Hadley watched as he fell limp, looking lifeless as if she had just killed him. Allowing his fur to go free, Hadley stood back slightly before she pressed her muzzle into his fur, curious. "Ash..Are you oka-HEY!" Just as she was trying to check up on him, Hadley had been pinned. With Ash holding her down, she didn't struggle but stared up at the male with her blue orbs, glaring up at the male with a laugh. "You..." Again, she was cut off but not by anything like being pushed down. "Oh!" She squealed, now wriggling underneath the male as her fluffy face was practically drenched.
"Oh, you'll pay for that!" Hadley declared as the male hopped off of her and a little bit away. Shaking out her fur to the point where wet strands of hair spiked out, Hadley had been prepared to lunge at the male when yet agin she was shoved to the ground and being pinned. Now, this time Ash started speaking like an alpha so she played along and quivered, tucking her tail and pinning down her ears. "P-pwease don't h-hurt me!" She spoke, trying not a giggle as she gave a slow whine, obviously submitting. Finally, she was let go to dust and shake out her fur again while Ash bounded away. Laughing, Hadley clashed herself into Ash, growling but all she did was run her tongue rapidly along his face and neck, some what grooming the male with a laugh.

Ash ll 4 year old ll Decus Beta ll German Shepherd
As Hadley was busy grooming his neck fur, Ash couldn't help another small laugh. Now, his mind was at the sky, it was beginning to set just slowly and the people were heading out. "Got somewhere to go, or do you wanna come with me?" He barked gently, flicking his tail against the red dogs nose before he picked up the pace at a light jog back toward the pond. Once he was there, he instantly dropped into a laying position. His hind legs folded neatly forward under his stomach while his front one were stretched out in front of him. Almost the same position they had met in, yet his head was held high and there was a bright gleam in his eyes. He let out a light whine and lowered his ears, waiting for Hadley to come and join him.
He twisted his head to her to lick at her muzzle in an affectionate way before turning back to the little pond. "Just wait 'til the moon comes up. It's supposed to be full tonight and you will literally be bathed in it. It's beautiful." He commented, looking up at the light sunset that was forming. "Just like you." He whined, then flicked a paw over his face and flopped dramatically onto his back. "WOW. I suck at that. That was so corny." He commented, laughing, before he rose himself back into his playing position. "But really, I may be corny but I mean it." That time his voice was sincere and he gave another light lick to her ear. Now, he turned his attention back to the sky, his nose twitching as he pushed it into the water. Hadley was really growing on him, he couldn't wait 'til she saw how pretty the moon was when it was full and casting on the lake. "I think I'd rather stay with you.." Hadley murmured softly, following after the male with another little laugh, smiling as she soon rested quietly beside the male, pinning back her ears as she gazed up, taking in the darkening sky, rolling back her shoulders before she moved her bright blue orbs to Ash, once more taking him in with a sigh before Hadley simply scooted closer, cuddling up next to the male with another sigh;she loved cuddles and it felt nice to be next to someone, a friend if anything who,not surprisingly, Hadley trusted. "Just wait 'til the moon comes up. It's supposed to be full tonight and you will literally be bathed in it. It's beautiful." Hm? Lifting her head to stare over at Ash, Hadley's smile brightened before she allowed her eyes to wander up, staring up at the endless sky before her eyes widened at his next comment. Breaking into a small fit of giggles, Hadley tried to hide her pure glee. It wasn't every day that another sprinkled her in compliments.
As he rolled over with embarrassment, Hadley simply laughed, eyeing the male before he got and explained himself somewhat which only made Hadley laugh again. As his soft tongue brushed against her ear, Hadley smiled, flicking her ears before she raised her paw and bopped the male. "Hey, it's alright. You're pretty beautiful yourself. In a male way." Allowing her toes to spread, Hadley whined with happiness and pleasure as the grass cooled her toes and legs. "I can't wait to see it." She whispered, staring up again at the slightly dark sky, waiting for it to become fully dark so she could finally see what Ash was talking about. (Too cute <3)

Ash ll 4 year old ll Decus ll German Shepherd
Ash was glad that the female had come with him, it was nice to have company as great as herself. He watched as she was spreading her toes and giggling as the grass curled around it and cooled it down. The German Shepherd could only shake his head and chuckle at her. She was absolutely precious. You're pretty beautiful your self. In a male way. That one really sent Ash laughing and he rolled onto his back, gently batting her nose as he did so. When the wetness of her nose tickled his paws he made a light squealing or shrieking sound and recoiled running his tongue over his paw as though she was burned it or something. He raised his puppy dog eyes and whined dramatically, holding his paw pad out to Hadley's face. "Lick it better." He whined, putting on his best puppy dog face, though inside he was trying so hard not to break down laughing.
After a little more playing and teasing, he finally laid back down normally beside her, his ears high on his head. He watched as the clouds moved away and the full moon was finally up. His tail thumped wildly as he could actually see the thing forming right in front of them. Very slowly, the moonlight crept over the pond and reflected off it, shining a bright blue. Soon, it engulfed the two dogs, blue light everywhere. It was just as he had said - absolutely beautiful. Most dogs would think it was weird that this male like the sunset and the moon glow, but, he didn't care. "Like I was saying - beautiful." His voice was more serious this time and he leaned his nose and pressed it into the red husky's gently. "I"m so glad I met you tonight." He murmured gently, thumping his tail a few more times before pulling away and licking Hadley's cheek. Gazing up, Hadley had felt Ash moving about and such, though she tried to keep her sight on the sky;Ash's silliness was too tempting, however. Glancing over at him, Hadley met his paw which had bopped her nose;with her curious eyes, she watched as he recoiled and began to put on a play with his silliness which, despite her inner protests, caused her to laugh softly. As he requested her to lick his paw all better, Hadley shook her head, smiling before she turned away once again, breathing in the air with a slightly gasp as she finally looked up. The moon, bright and full, stood above her, staring down at her with it's beautiful gaze, lighting up all around them. "Oh!" Again, she gasped, eyes widening as her long fluffed tail began to wiggle furiously. "Oh! Ash, it's beautiful!" Giggling, the female glanced over at the male before returning her gaze to the moon, sighing some what dreamily.
As he pressed his cold nose into her, Hadley slowly turned her orbs from the moon to him, sharing his smile. She was glad she decided to come and see what was up earlier, if she hadn't, she would have missed so much! Strange as it was, she hadn't particularly loved the moon as she did now, but tonight, she had finally got a good glimpse at it;she regretted not loving it before, but she was happy Ash decided to share the sight with her. Running her tongue along his muzzle, Hadley laughed again, softer then before. "Me too, me too."
