Walking through the junkyard was not something she had planned today, but the food smell in the yard was enticing her. Licking her black and tan maw, she jumped onto a car. Her body was huge, thumping with a loud bang. The Rottweiler was built, her muscles rippling beneath her skin. Brown puppy eyes stared along the grounds, looking for something to eat, but she was caught on the sight of a dog. He was snarling, drool dripping down his jaws as he walked toward her.
Jumping down she spoke in a shaky voice.
I don't mean any harm...I am sorry...
Whimpering, she backed against a car cornered, as he lunged at her.

Ash ll 4 year old ll Decus ll German Shepherd
The German Shepherd wouldn't have enjoyed being in a place like this. But, this time, he was drawn by snarling and snapping of jaws followed by a deep whimpering .He knew that many lonely canines traveled to this place. It held a source of shelter and a place to hide if you needed it. The males ears were pinned as he picked up his gate to a slow lope, if he barged in there he could end up getting killed, however he moved pretty quickly. When he was close enough to see them, but they couldn't see him, he slowed to a walk and halted beside a large car.
By looking underneath, he could see what appeared to be a rottie female, a strong breed they saw a lot of around here, and that nasty old junkyard dog that was always causing trouble. If he would just realize that the canines meant no harm besides relaxing in the cars and eating, it would all be fine. But, he was grumpy and always causing trouble. When he was sure it was somewhat safer, he let out a vicious bark, jumping between the junkyard dog and the frightened, rottie. With his fur bristled and hackles raised, he outstood both of them, looking stronger and larger in all defenses. If this junkyard mutt wanted a fight with a pure-bred police dog, then he was going to get one.

Envy was pinned against the ground, the snarling dog drooling all over her as it snapped closer to her face. A third dog was heard and she yelped for help. The dog above her whipped its head around and snarled at the German Shepherd. It growled and drool dripped down it's disgusting lips. It's eyes looked crazed as it lunged off of her and leapt for the male. Envy jumped to her feet, taking the chance to get away from them. She knew the junkyard dog didn't have a chance against this dog.
Don't...you'll kill him...
She was talking to the large Shepherd, she knew he could easily kill the dog.

The second he was in view of the junkyard canine, it's attention was on him. The Shepherd's lips lifted in a threatening snarl as the other male charged. Hackles raised, the male was ready to pounce, to deliver devastating blows and make the dog suffer. That's what he was trained to do, and he was going to do it. Lips lifted, he bounced his paws an- Don't...you'll kill him.. The voice rang in his ears and the dark Shepherd cocked his head. But, the male was already coming at him. When he lunged, the Shepherd lifted his jaws and caught the junkyard dog by the neck - rearing on his back legs and snapping his neck to send the threatening canine flying. His body slammed into a metal car with a bang and a yelp. If he came back, well this male wouldn't think twice about killing him.
The male gave his nose a small twitch, not taking his eyes off the junkyard dog until he was sure he was gone. When he was, the canine bent his head down to lick at his ruffled fur and to get the junkyard stink off his tongue. When he was somewhat settled he turned to the female rottie. "What were you thinking? You could have been killed." He scolded, his voice hard but not stern or mean, just simply a 'what the hell were you thinking.' He twisted his body and went to stand beside her before flopping his haunches down and giving his tail a single, friendly wag. "I'm Ash. Haven't seen you around lately. Who might you be?" He flashed her a smile, ears perked high on his head and the black patches of his fur shining in the sunlight.

Envy watched as he simply slung the canine into the car with a loud bang. The junkyard dog ran off, for now. Innocent brown eyes looked to the male as he spoke. What was he talking about? She hadn't provoked the damn thing. She had been strolling along, and he charged her. As he introduced himself, she smiled, her big canines gleaming in the sun. Her little stump of a tail waved as she spoke back.
Hi. I am Envy. Thank you for saving me. I was walking along and he charged me. I didn't even do anything.
Cocking her big, square head, she felt the sun beating on her ebony and tan coat. Audits perked, listening for the junkyard dog, but he was gone. It was clear she was at least 3 years, but she was so innocent to the violence of the world around her it was sad.

As the tension and fear in the female beside him faded, Ash felt his spirit lift just a little bit. He relaxed as well, though he was slightly twitchy now due to the junkyard dog. But, there was more than lurked int the junkyard as well. Such as the foxes, coyotes, and any other nasty canine that found it's home. Yes, there was much more to be wary of in this yard than just the old guard dog. "He does that. It's his job to guard his yard. Just like any house-pet canine would guard his property from strangers. Sadly, this one just has a lot more land than he can chew and the strangers just keep on coming. Poor guy, he's gone mad." The shepherd gave a sly smile before he shook his fur out, letting the rest of his restlessness and aggression fade. No use in being angry anymore.
When the rottie announced herself as Envy, the Shepherd dipped his head, a light smile pooling onto his face. Still, the name didn't ring much of a bell, and Ash knew most of the canines in Westover, but not this one. He flicked his ears and proud grin flooding onto his jaw as she thanked him. "My pleasure, it's what I do. My duty." Even though his owner was long gone now, Ash still felt a strong dedication to protecting the town. Ever since he was a yearling, he protected the streets as a police dog, and even now, off duty he still did it. Expect now he was Beta of the Decus pack, he protected every canine from the pack of Iustita and any thing else that stood in his way of a peaceful town. It was his duty. "So, where are you from?" He asked the rottie, twitching his ears. "And why are you in the junkyard?" He asked, lips curling in a light laugh. He hated this place and couldn't really figure out why any canine would want to hang out here.

Envy smiled, he had an authorative tone and aura around him. His bowing of his head making her giggle a little. He was a good looking dog, but he seemed to like to protect everything. Licking her maw absentmindedly, she perked her audits at his questions. She frowned a little at the memory of where she was from. She didn't like to even think of it, but he asked.
I am from New York. I was shipped here by my owner. But soon after I arrived, I was put in the pound. My owner had died of a heart attack, and no one wanted a Rottweiler who wasn't fully trained. Finally, someone picked me up, but left me in his yard to starve, So I escaped. And here I am, wandering lost, and I happened upon the junkyard. I didn't know it was viciously protected by a crazed dog who wants to kill everyone.
She smiled slightly. Her brown eyes held sorrow at the memory, it had hurt to be thrown away like trash by the owner who should of loved her. Hiding her pain behind a gorgeous smile, she waved her stubby tail

When he asked where she was from, Ash had obviously stirred up painful memories and he immediately wanted to take them all back. Shut his mouth for once. Literally, he did this with every canine he met. He had done it when meeting Iris and again when he had met Fawn. It was like a curse he couldn't seem to shake away. Envy was a brave dog however, trying to hide her sadness of the past like it was nothing - but Ash understood how much of the opposite it was. He lifted his tail and ran it along the rotties back to try and comfort her in some way.
He figured maybe a little tale of his own could make her feel better. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to bring you back into a bad past. But, I kinda of understand how you feel." Ash's owner had passed away too, but he had not known how, only that these people in white took him away and sent Ash to the pound. "I lived with my owner - a police officer - all my life until turned 3. He had me since I was a puppy. Not only was he my owner, but he was my partner as well. We fought crime together and protected the city. When he died, these people in white took him away and I was sent to the pound as well." He closed his eyes, her pound sounded much different than his. "However the pound I was sent to, the dogs would be taken to a back room and never came back out. So, I broke out of my kennel, using police dog technique and freed the others with me. Some stayed with me when we found the Decus pack, others went their separate ways." His ears pinned for a moment in memory before he gave her his own light smile. "Looks like we have more in common than we thought." He barked, that smile appearing on his face once more as he gave a slight wag of his tail.

Envy watched the male as he spoke of being a police dog and she understood his attitude now. Smiling at him, she listened to him intently, and realized he didn't really know what else to do but protect. Smiling, she nodded to him and laughed a little, they did have more in common than she thought.
And your pack? What are they like?
She needed a pack, something to depend on, but she didn't want a pack who was ruthless and terrible. Looking around, she looked at the surrounding area, unsure of whether they were bing watched or not. She found herself being lonely, not having a mate, or friends or anything. Sighing, she missed her owner, she was used to the company, and she wanted it back. Looking at the male before her, she smiled, again speaking in her soft tone.
I could use some company....any kind really. I need something besides myself to talk to.
Smiling, she awaited his answer.

When the female became interested in Ash's pack, he felt his tail twitch happily. "We are called the Decus pack." He told her, his excitement obvious in his voice along with his perked ears and wagging tail. It scraped up the dirt on the ground and made the air so dusty around him that he actually had to stop wagging it unless they both wanted to suffocate. The action made the male laugh slightly a deep, husky laugh. "We have a rival called Iusitita. They believe that dogs should be the dominant species and are at war with the human race, and any canines that step in the way. Us canines in the Decus Pack, well we are sort of on the humans side." He explained, flicking his ears and pausing for a moment before continuing.
"We think the world is fine as it is, that we should just be at peace with the things around us. So, in other words, we are the protectors of the humans and the canines that the Iustita canines target and pretty much every canine that gets trapped in between." He stopped, ears perked and head raised high in his pride. "And I am their proud second in command, the Beta." A large smile crept onto his face, his tail wagging again, but this time more carefully not to stir up dust again. "You are welcome to join us, though you will have to talk to Deuce first, our leader. But, he's very calm and welcomes all. You would have company and protection." He paused. "And you could see me." He nudged her shoulder and let out a light laugh before casting his gaze over the junkyard and waiting for her response.

Envy listened to him and his excitement about his pack. She wasn't ever in a pack and didn't know if she would even fit in right now. Audits pinned uncertainly as she spoke to him in her uncertain voice.
Sounds nice. Especially the seeing you part. Except...I have never been in a pack...I don't know if I would fit in. What if I make a fool of myself?
Envy winked at him as she spoke about seeing him, she was slipping into her flirty mood. Smiling flirtingly, she stood and shook the dust from her black coat. Her legs didn't stand nearly as tall as he, but she was much more muscular. She figured a pack would be nice for her to grab into. Speaking again, she had a flirty tone.
Show me the way, handsome.
Laughing, she waited for him to lead her to the pack leader, obviously she didn't know how to find it.

ASH
Tail flicking, he could instantly tell that his little bump on the shoulder and joking comment had taken the female canine into a flirtatious mood and that was not what Ash had intended at all. He had simply meant to joke around with her and be his normal self, but already it was becoming a bit more awkward for the shepherd. But, her question was innocent enough and he decided a blunt answer couldn't make it more awkward, could it? His ears flicked and he gave her a light smile. "Don't worry, it's not like they are going to kick you away for being new. Everyone needs a little time to settle and you are no exception." Another light smile and he rose to his paws, stretching his back in an arch to wake up it's sleeping muscles.
Lead the way, handsome. She remarked and that awkward feeling licked into his system again. He inwardly groaned. Here we go again. He commented. Though he had a mate, he constantly had females barking to get his attention. Ash didn't know why, but could only assume it was cause he was one of those males that would rather protect and be friends than take advantage of every female he had in his life. But, with that came the cost that he was loyal. And now he had Hadley and pups on the way. He picked up the pace in his step and turned to lead the female in the direction of Decus Pack grounds and to meet Deuce. "Oh yeah, and you can meet my mate, Hadley!" Ash barked happily, his tail wagging a bit before he pushed himself into a light loping jog. Alarice Note - We can probably end this here, since she obviously can't meet Deuce in this thread. o.o If you want, go sign her up for the pack and once she gets accepted, we can thread them again. (:
